DOBRO

Squareneck Dobro Model 66D c. 1975

Squareneck Dobro Model 66D c. 1975

$1,800.00

Beginning production in 1932, the Dobro Model 66D is a squareneck resonator of note, equally for its pleasing tone, and striking, sandblasted relief work adorning the top and back.  This particular model dates back to the OMI Era (1975 to be specific) and is a sterling example of exactly what makes these resophonic guitars so special to begin with.

Clearly boasting an eye catching aesthetic, the more profound joy is in the tone; warm and bright, balanced and clear with a mid forward punch that cuts through a mix with ease. In the hands of a player that knows how to put a tone bar to work, this guitar will not only “get you there” it will do so in style.

Cosmetic Condition:

This guitar was meticulously cared for by its previous owner and as such shows only minor signs of playwear including various finish nicks most notably on the back of the neck near the nut.  However, it has had some upgrades of note, including the installation of an aftermarket Scheerhorn cone, as well as a K&K Pure Resonator SB Pickup.  We would consider this to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION.
