In 2023, the Fender Custom Shop introduced the limited edition Twisted Tele Custom Journeyman Relic. This guitar is quite striking, housing a Bigsby tailpiece, reverse control plate and other premium features. The relic job on the guitar is incredibly tasteful, giving the feeling that the guitar was put to work but not abused. Much like some of the true vintage guitars that come through the shop, this relic’d Tele feels like your favorite pair of jeans.

Upon sitting down with this guitar, it is immediately noticeable how comfortable it is. The neck is “worn down” to the wood, providing a nice satin surface for the player’s hand to move on. In addition, the relic’d body finish proves to be very smooth in both feel and look. The Twisted Tele pickups that are housed in the body give the guitar that classic vintage Telecaster sound that we know and love but with the added dependability of a recently made pickup.

The previous owner of this guitar maintained the immaculate condition that it left the factory with, and as such we rate it as EXCEPTIONALLY FINE condition.
