2007 Standard Strat

2007 Standard Strat

$600.00

The Made in Mexico Fender Standard Stratocaster has been an excellent example of an affordable, quality electric guitar, and a worthwhile entry into the world of Strats since 1991. Made in the Fender owned and staffed factory in Ensenada (Baja California) Mexico, the guitar gained popularity because it was an actual Fender guitar at less than half the price of the company’s US made flagship model, the American Standard. These guitars were almost indiscernible from their American counterparts upon casual inspection. Using a polyester finished, alder body and a one-piece maple neck, they featured good sounding ceramic pickups, quality CTS electronics and Fender hardware. They were an answer to a prayer for the budding guitarist unable to swing the higher price tag of a US guitar, or the pro on a budget. They were that good. Recently renamed the Player Series they continue to be a great value and a top seller.

This particular instrument has had the original ceramic pickups replaced with Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups. A great improvement, as these are Eric Clapton’s choice of pickups! It is basically stock otherwise. Whoever owned this guitar took excellent care of it, as it has no visible signs of wear except some mild scratches on the pickguard, and a finish ding repair that is so well done, it is very hard to see. We rate it as Excellent condition.
