The Gibson Les Paul is one of the most popular electric guitars in the world. It is known for its fat but cutting tone, and presence on countless Classic Rock recordings. An excellent Jazz guitar when played cleanly, and the ultimate screamer when turning up the crunch, the Les Paul is a timeless classic.
In creating the Studio Tribute line, Gibson went back to the basics, providing a solid instrument with Spartan appointments, thin satin finishes, but all the tone and attitude players have admired for decades. The GEM model is slightly updated with a lacquer finish. Both the feel and sound of this guitar live up to the hype. When combined with a good tube amp, the P90 pickups have a moment to shine as they are very expressive.

The slightly chunkier 50’s style rounded neck profile would be an ideal fit for a player looking for 50s era Gibson at the price point that does not require a second mortgage. Additionally, this guitar is much lighter than its vintage brethren as a result of Gibson’s “Ultra Modern Weight Relief” which is a series of routed chambers under the top of the guitar intended to reduce weight, while maintaining the trademark Les Paul sustain and resonance.

Cosmetic Condition:

This guitar was well maintained by its previous owner, and shows a bit of play wear including various small dings across the top and back. With this is mind, we consider this guitar to be in VERY GOOD condition.
