GUILD

When one is looking for a great sounding and great playing 12 string acoustic guitar that doesn’t break the bank, the name “Guild” is often at the top of the list.  Renowned for their build quality, focused tone, and generous projection they are a natural choice for a broad range of players; from Muddy Waters to Tom Petty and everywhere in between. 

This particular F512, built in Corona, CA in 2003, is a player’s piece, through and through.  It has all of the chime and bell like highs, and low-end presence you would expect, with a beautiful growl to the mid-range frequencies that would be suitable for solo accompaniment, while also cutting through a live mix like a hot knife through butter.  Some newer models that have yet to be “played in” might at first feel a little stiff.  Rest assured that is not the case here, as it has matured quite nicely into a harmonically complex instrument.  Low action makes it ideal for single string lines and generous spacing between the unisons allow enough space for comfortable finger-style playing. 

Cosmetic Condition:

This guitar is a very well maintained player’s grade piece with several cosmetic points of note.  Firstly, there is extensive finish checking across the top.  There is also a minor center seam separation that has been repaired. There is also a crack at the headstock joint on bass side with corresponding finish chip on backside top bass-side edge of headstock (likely impact) that has also been repaired.  Additionally, this F512 has been outfitted with a K&K Pure 12-String pick up installed.  All things considered, we would consider this guitar to be in VERY GOOD condition
