2025 Slope Shoulder Dreadnought
“The Forty Three is both direct and powerful, but with an easy-playing shorter scale length, it’s easy to see why this guitar has been favored by so many singer-songwriters over the years. The big-bodied slope shoulder shape, combined with our Baked Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, delivers warm mids, solid lows and great definition. It’s a timeless acoustic guitar tone.” – From the Atkin Website
We have been impressed by the Atkin guitars we have come across. Every one we have seen has been a great example of the pre-war style guitars currently being made by several companies. This J43 is no exception. Based on the 1943 Banner J45, it certainly has captured the vibe of that era. It is extremely playable with a robust, energetic response. The relic’d finish is not overdone and adds to the overall cool factor. We are excited to showcase this guitar from across the pond.
