Lowden

In Northern Ireland, the folks at Lowden have built themselves a reputation that is carried through their instruments all over the world. It's no surprise that a whole new part of your creative mind is kicked into high gear when you pick up one of their guitars. Possessing a piano-like harmonic structure, acoustics from Lowden are among the most colorful and expressive guitars around. 

Especially with the innovations of builders like George Lowden, smaller bodied guitars certainly have a seat at the round table, deservedly so. This S-32C has a sound that is fifty times its size and fills a room with ease as the harmonics leap out of this guitar when strummed or fingerpicked. As is the case with most other Lowden guitars, the S-32C adores open and drop tunings. Such tunings transport the player of this instrument to where George Lowden intended these guitars to live. It exudes the spirit and lifeblood of the country that it was made in, making it an incredibly unique and valuable addition to one's collection. 

Everything about this guitar proves to be very comfortable while playing. Its 1 3/4" nut width gives the player ample string spacing to fret notes cleanly, and also has a slim neck profile that compensates for the extra 1/16" of width. Not to mention, a Lowden 5-piece neck is quite easy on the eyes! In addition to a masterfully crafted neck, the body sits in your lap quite nicely. The body’s single cutaway design makes exploring the higher real estate of the fingerboard entirely possible. Even the finish of the body alleviates any kind of friction that may occur with a high gloss finish.

Much like the 12-Fret model, this 14-fret version has the same scale length (630mm). The bridge location is what gives each version its own distinct sound. While the 12-fret model tends to have a robust midrange and punch, the 14-fret model has a vibrant sustain and is a bit more open and airy. This rings true with the classic Lowden sound, but expands on it in a way that gives this small guitar a voice of its own.

Condition:

Although we always hesitate to use the term ”mint”, this guitar shows very little, if any, wear. There are no cosmetic issues. We would rate this guitar EXCELLENT +.
