Over 25 years of experience in playing guitars, teaching guitars and retailing guitars has enabled us to create an outstanding inventory of guitars - which includes some of the finest guitars available worldwide by such recognized luthiers as Collings, Ramirez, Kohno, Martin, Lowden, Goodall, Santa Cruz, National Resophonic, Brune, Traphagen, Rein, Robert, Hirade and many others. We also provide the best in care and maintenance for our guitars. We think of our guitars as works of art - and we treat them accordingly. Although we are known for carrying such famous acoustic and classical guitars as Collings, Martin and Ramirez, we also have electric guitars and a wide selection of student guitars, including sized guitars for children and travel guitars.

John Madden

In Memory of John Madden -

We at Maple Street Guitars are deeply grieved by the sudden death on March 17th of our dear friend and patron, John Madden. John was an inspired guitarist and songwriter who gave greatly of himself to encourage and promote the guitar and the aspiring guitar players and songwriters in our community. He added incomparable warmth and liveliness to our business environment; his enthusiasm for guitars and music conveyed a priceless message to our customers and reminded us as well that the real goal of our endeavors is sharing our thoughts and feelings through music.

John had a great, warm heart: Through his unselfish efforts to create and manage the open-mic night at the Red Light Café, he provided wonderful opportunities for local musicians to be heard and appreciated by the Atlanta community. John nurtured the talents he encountered, prodding shy guitar players to make their voices heard. His infectious enthusiasm and passions, as well as his obvious affection for all of us brightened our days and lifted our spirits. We loved you, John, and we will miss you so very, very much.
