Few living players are as synonymous with the Fender Stratocaster as Eric Clapton. The blues-rock guitar hero has been playing Strats for decades and his signature model has been a staple of Fender’s lineup for a long time now!

There are a few things that really set this guitar apart from your run-of-the-mill Strat. Firstly, it’s hard not to notice the Soft “V” carve of the neck, not unlike the profile of his vintage Martin acoustics. Its electronics are a bit of a departure from the traditional. Instead of the usual two individual tone controls, the first Tone knob uses a unique TBX Tone Control and the second engages the Active Mid Boost. The TBX has a center detent and adds or removes treble content depending on which direction you turn the knob. The Mid Boost adds up to 25dB of gain while increasing the bass/mid frequencies and decreasing treble frequencies, perfect for driving a tube amp into searing lead territory.

Condition:
This guitar was well maintained by its previous owner and shows no signs of wear outside of some very faint scratches. We’d rate this as EXCELLENT+ condition.
