House Brand T-CLASSIC 2017 Tom Anderson Guitarworks T Classic in Olympic White

General Description:

We hold a great deal of appreciation for Tom Anderson guitars here at Maple Street Guitars and this T Classic has come to our attention as an exceptional electric guitar. All of the Anderson’s that we’ve come across in the store have shown an outstanding level of attention to detail and showcase some modern features that we adore. Though this guitar is based on the T-style that we all know and love, this guitar is so much more.

Upon first glance, it does share some similarities with a traditional T-style guitar, from the alder body to the 25.5” scale length to the single coil pickups. Besides that, everything about this guitar is modern. The neck features a slightly thicker version of Anderson’s “Even-Taper” carve, which is their most popular neck shape. This shape maintains its width pretty consistently over the entire length of the neck. Its “heavy” sized stainless steel frets and flat compound radius fretboard make bends and quick leads smooth and effortless while the Buzz Feiten tuning systems ensures consistent tuning stability.

At its core, this particular T Classic is a hybrid of a Tele and a Strat. Its triple pickup layout and switching are reminiscent of a Strat while its appearance and bridge pickup are all modern Tele. The electronics are particularly of note with this instrument as it features S-style pickups in the neck and middle positions, the Anderson VA7R and VA7 respectively, with the neck pickup being reverse wound for hum canceling. Then, it has their TV3 bridge pickup for hotter, T-style spank and bite. The 5-way switching is traditional S-style but the tone knob has a push-pull pot that activates the bridge pickup in any position, allowing for every combination of the 3 pickups. Finally, the VA booster switch offers a subtle boost that’s more akin to switching to a slightly hotter pickup then a typical preamp boost. As such, it effectively doubles the amount of tones that this guitar offers for an incredible degree of flexibility.

Cosmetic Condition:

Though used, this guitar has no signs of playwear to note, having been thoroughly well-cared for by its previous owner. The only notable flaw in its cosmetics is a very subtle ding halfway between the bridge and the end of the body. NEAR MINT condition.
