Special features of the Traditional Series guitars, which are inspired by classic acoustic guitar designs, include: all solid wood construction with hand-carved scalloped braces, forward shifted X-brace, dovetail neck joint, and hand polished nitrocellulose finish. The E8 OM-TC is Eastman’s fine take on a vintage 000-28. The star of the show is the “Thermo-Cured” or Torrified Sitka Spruce top, which simulates the process of decades of aging that yields a sweeter, drier voice. This top combined with the Rosewood back and sides, yields a clear and warm response, with a slight midrange scoop. Though quite versatile in general, the E8 OM-TC is a fantastic fingerstyle or lead guitar.
