We’ve come to associate the Eastman brand with value. Truly, they make some wonderful instruments at prices that are but a fraction of comparable builds. The T59/V harkens back to the days when the Gibson 335 ruled the earth. The addition of Duncan Antiquity pickups give the guitar a beautiful vintage tone and the antique varnish finish allows the guitar to breathe and produce an even sustain and chord decay. Equally at home in blues, rock and jazz, the T59/V can handle it all!

Aside from its iconic sound, a 335 style guitar is incredibly comfortable to play. This T59 sports a slimmer “C” neck carve, making it effortless to slide up and down the fingerboard. In addition to this, the antique varnish finish alleviates the stickiness that can sometimes accompany a gloss finish on a hot or humid day. Another great structural feature of this guitar is the laminated maple body. Laminate is often used with these kinds of guitars as a feedback suppressor. The laminate wood does not resonate as much as solid wood, giving you more headroom to turn up before feedback kicks in. It also affords the guitar a lighter weight than its solid counterpart. Make no mistake, this guitar is still a bit stout in that area and certainly still exhibits ample sustain that one would be looking for in a semi-hollow guitar. The Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickups combined with this wonderfully built instrument make for an expressive and harmonically pleasing guitar to play at gigs, the studio or even just at home.
