One might best characterize the amazing sound of a Lowden guitar as "cathedral-like". We think this term conveys the huge presence of these guitars, and their unique ability to produce and sustain notes with delicate openness and brilliance against such a surprisingly strong foundation. The voicing of this guitar and George Lowden's choice of tonewoods have created a very pliable, responsive and exciting instrument which makes fingerstyle playing seem effortless and pickstyle strumming crisp, open and full.

Condition:
This guitar is very clean but with a few notable bits of wear. Most obviously, the top of the guitar features 5 shallow pick scratches in the general area above the soundhole. The pickguard also has some light pick scratches with one extending to the bottom of the bridge faintly. Along the top binding, there's a small ding on the butt of the guitar near the endpin. There some light scratches on the back of the guitar. Lastly, there are a few points in the finish that show fingerprints or some guitar polish that has settled. This is fairly on this kind of satin finish and, while it could be improved, chasing it would likely result in those areas taking on a bit of glossing in the process that would stick out more than leaving the spots as is. We would rate this in VERY GOOD+ to EXCELLENT condition.
