2006 Parker Select "Bronze Fly" Solid Body Acoustic/Electric with Cedar Composite Body

"Designed by Ken Parker and Larry Fishman, the Parker Fly was introduced in 1993 and was unique for its use of composite materials made from a carbon fibre/glass/epoxy that is thinner than the paint finish. The same composite also comprises the fretboard material. The exoskeleton provides the guitar with strength and rigidity, as well as increasing the guitar's sustain. It also gives the added benefit of allowing a smaller, more efficient body. One of Ken Parker's primary goals in designing the Fly was to build a guitar with less mass than a traditional electric guitar but with the same or even more rigidity. The composite exoskeleton is one of the primary reasons why such a design is possible. The guitar’s combination of traditional magnetic pickups and piezo-electrics in the bridge allowed players to achieve both electric and impressive acoustic tones. And, perhaps most significant to the guitar’s design is the almost complete absence of a neck heel to permit greater ease of access to the uppermost frets."

From the Parker Select series which included four unique models made by master builders trained by Ken Parker, the Bronze Fly is a solid body acoustic guitar featuring Larry Fishman's piezo pickup and active filtering preamp with six individual transducers designed to provide exceptional note separation without feedback at any volume. And, while most examples featured a very light weight solid Sitka spruce body, this Bronze Fly has a composite body made with solid cedar and carbon fiber. Other features include, a basswood neck also wrapped with the carbon composite, composite fingerboard with stainless steel frets, and Sperzel locking tuners.

This guitar is in superb condition with only a trace of wear.

This guitar includes a hardshell case. (used)
