Traphagen, Dake: B.R.C.

(Item ID: B.R.C.    Serial#: SOR)

Dake Traphagen B.R.C. Classical with Brazilian Rosewood Back and Sides and European Spruce Top

We have known Dake Traphagen for more than thirty years and have sold many of his guitars both new and used during this time. We have always been impressed by the power, definition, and clarity that he consistently is able to achieve in the voice of his instruments. These very desirable characteristics are the hallmark of his excellent craftsmanship, and performers will immediately appreciate and enjoy the responsiveness that these traits provide. Just as the raw horsepower and superior handling of a fine sports car will thrill a talented driver and enable one to test the limits of their skill, likewise, the innate musical potential of this guitar not only will elevate a player's heart rate, but also will allow the character and refinement of one's musicality to flourish.

This 1988 Traphagen, "Sor", (Dake names his guitars rather than numbers them) is in excellent condition with some minor playing and handling wear and one repaired back crack. Also, one should know that, although this guitar is labeled B.R.C., which is Dake's method of listing the wood types (i.e. Brazilian Rosewood Cedar), a call to Dake confirmed what we suspected, that this guitar has instead a spruce top, and it was inadvertently mislabeled when it was made. In addition to its fine Brazilian rosewood, this superb instrument features fine quality Rubner tuning machines with ebony buttons.

This guitar includes an archtop hardshell case.
