Our guitar repair department has an excellent reputation for its expertise and meticulous attention to detail. Below is a list of prices for the most common repairs and custom work:
Re-string*
- Standard instruments - $15
- 12 String - $25
- Mandolin - $15
- Floyd Rose/Kahler - $25
* Strings are not included in the restring labor charge.
Setup - Includes nut, saddle, truss adjustment, intonation, clean and oil fretboard, polish frets, and re-string. Strings are additional.
- 6 String - $60
- 12 String - $80
- Floating Tremolo (Floyd Rose/Kahler) - $80
Nuts & Saddles*
- Custom bone intonated saddle - $45
- Long saddle - $60
- Custom bone nut - $50
- 12 String - $70
- Fill and rerout saddle slot - $75
- Bone nut and saddle blanks - $6
* Nut and saddle prices do not include the bone blanks.
Bridges
- Bridge reglue - $80
- New bridge - custom made ebony or rosewood - $175
- Bridge plate replacement - $275
- Install Platemate - $10
Fret redress - includes leveling/recrowning of all frets and setup
- Rosewood or Ebony fretboard - $130
- Maple fretboard - $145
Refret
- Unbound fretboard - $260
- Bound fretboard - $285
- Maple fretboard - $310
- Partial refret - $130 + $15/fret (includes fret redress)
Neck Reset
- Dove tail joint (Martin, Taylor, Gibson, etc.) - $525 (includes re-fret)
- Taylor (NT neck) - $85
Crack repair - $15 per inch
Headstock Crack Repair*
- Cracked - $75 - $150
- Broken in two - $300 - $450
*The cost of this repair is determined on a case by case assessment.
Pickup Installation*
- Under saddle or bridgeplate mount - $55
- Soundhole Pickup (e.g., Rare Earth, M1) - $45
- Onboard preamp - $120
* The cost of the pickup is not included.
Electric Wiring
- Pickups on Fender or Gibson style solid body - $30 each
- Replace pots - $30 each
- Replace jack on solid body - $20
- Archtop wiring - please inquire
Pickguard
- Remove and replace - Steel string, Martin style - $60
- Custom Guard - $60
- Install Clear Guard (pre-cut) - $25
- Install pre-cut tortoiseshell / opaque gaurd - $5
- Replace Strat-style pickguard - $30
Replace tuning machines - $30 - $50 (includes restring labor)
